<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coordinate inputting device with excellent operability in which the number of the wiring cables connecting an oscillation inputting means with a device main body can be reduced. SOLUTION: This device is provided with an oscillation input pen for inputting an elastic wave oscillation on an oscillation transmitting board, and an instructed coordinate position is calculated based on a time required for the elastic wave oscillation generated by the oscillation input pen to arrives at an oscillation detecting means provided on the oscillation transmitting board. The oscillation inputting pen is provided with a delay circuit and a switch, and the delay time of the delay circuit is switched according to the operation of the switch. A delay signal is outputted to the oscillation input pen, and a delay time TD until a return delay signal arrives is measured (steps S11-S14), thus the operating state of the switch is judged based on the delay time (a step S21). Then, an on/off signal indicating the operation state of the pen switch is generated according to the judgement (steps S22 and S23).</p> |
