PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To output a result which a user desires without any operation by means of the user by providing a processing means processing data inputted in accordance with a feature discriminated by a discrimination means. SOLUTION: An input part 20, a processing part 22, a discrimination part 24, an inquiry part 26 and an output part 28 are provided. The processing part 22 executes KANA (Japanese syllabary)/KANJI (Chinese character) conversion on data of reading inputted by the input part 20 while dictionary data is referred to. At that time, the processing part 22 executes delimitation and KANA/KANJI conversion while a necessary attached word dictionary is referred to. The discrimination part 24 discriminates the feature of data being the processing object by using the processing content of KANA/KANJI conversion by the processing part 22 and an identification result against an attached word, and decides a conversion mode to be executed in the processing part 22 corresponding to the feature. It is automatically discriminated and processed to which conversion mode the processing to be executed at present fits in accordance with a treated subject and the type of language. |
