<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a mobile packet routing system in which warrant of quality of the service QoS specific to an asynchronous transfer mode ATM is controlled from an application when an ATM host is moved in a network where routers are interposed, production of redundant paths is prevented and the processing delay is minimized. SOLUTION: In the case that an ATM host 3 moves between sub nets and that the host 3 registers (releases) a cross reference between an Internet protocol IP address acquired newly and its own fixed IP address to a home agent 5, the home agent 5 registers (releases) the cross reference between the fixed IP address and its ATM address to an ATM address resolution protocol ARP server 41. In the case that the ATM host 3 moves to a sub net other than the home, the IP packet denoting the fixed IP address of the ATM host 3 is transferred up to the ATM host 3 via the home agent 5.</p> |
