PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prolong the lifetime of lamp, while preventing the generation of cracks due to the generation of slips and clearances between a molybdenum foil and a glass material by setting the size of recrystallized grains of molybdenum foil to be embedded in pinch seal parts of a lamp at a specified value or less. SOLUTION: The size of recrystallized grain of molybdenum foils 5, 5 is set at 50μm or less. Molybdenum foils 5, 5 are preferably doped with yttria at 0.5%, and embedded in pinching seal parts 4, 4. Each one end of electrode bars 6, 6 made of tungsten is connected to each one end of the molybdenum foils 5, 5, and the other ends thereof are projected to both ends of a discharge space 3, and discharge electrodes 8, 8 are formed by spherical bodies 7, 7 having a diameter larger than that of other part. Each one end of molybdenum lead wires 9, 9 is projected from an outer end of the pinching seal parts 4, 4 and a part thereof is embedded in the pinch sealing parts 4, 4, and while each one end thereof in connected to the other end of the molybdenum foils 5, 5.
