PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and efficiently rewrite the control program of each image forming device constituting a network system by transferring the control program of one arbitrary image forming device to other image forming devices by using a connecting operation means. SOLUTION: A communication control device R receives a program transfer request from a service center Q. Then data of a control program for rewriting received from the service center Q is transferred to an image forming device P or P' in a stand-by state through an external communication device 122 or 122'. The device having received the control program writes the control program in a nonvolatile ROM as a program memory. Then the data of the control program are sent to other devices which can communicate with the device to rewrite the control programs in their program memories. |
