PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a POS system where the personal computer of a head office can easily maintain the POS terminal of each store. SOLUTION: A maintenance area 3a is secured in a store server 3 by the remote control that is carried out by a personal computer 5 of a head office via a public line. The area 3a contains a setting file 3b where the file name of a correction program 5a necessary for maintenance is registered, and the program 5a is transferred to the area 3a of the server 3. A terminal 2 copies the file 3b of the server 3 connected to a LAN(local area network), refers to the file name of the program 5a registered in the file 3b to copy the program 5a from the server 3 and replaces the program 5a with a current corresponding program. |
