<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save costs by substituting an optical related part requiring high precision with an inexpensive optical fiber, to extend the life of a mouse, and to detect the movement of the mouse when the mouse is inclined at 45 deg. against the pad. SOLUTION: An optical mouse 40 is constituted of an X-axis sensor 3 for detecting the horizontal movement of the mouse 40, a Y-axis sensor 32 for detecting the vertical movement, and optical fibers 20 and 20' for receiving a light emitted from light emitting diodes 10 and 10'. The lights from the optical diodes 10 and 10' have patterns in plural line directions formed with width which is two times as wide as the diameters of the optical fibers 20 and 20' at the upper stage part, and reflected on pads 15 having patters in plural column directions formed with width which is two times as wide as the diameters of the optical filters 20 and 20' at the lower stage part.</p> |
