PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve transmission efficiency of non-image data such as numerical value data, character data or the like. SOLUTION: In a transmitter 1, a pattern conversion part 11 selects a two-dimensional pattern corresponding to non-image data, externally inputted out of pre-set two-dimensional patterns, an image compression part 12 compresses, by a prescribed copression method, image data for indicating an image that contains the two-dimensional pattern selected by the pattern conversion part 11 and a transmission part 13 transmits this. In a receiver 2, an expansion part 22 expands the image of the data which a reception part 21 receives and restores the image data, a pattern matching part 23 extracts the two-dimensional pattern from the image data and outputs a value corresponding to this two-dimensional pattern as non-image data. |
