PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To deal with various types of data by using a DSI packet which retrieves a data unit and a PCI packet where the reproduction start and end times of the data unit are described. SOLUTION: An NV pack 86 is placed right before a video pack including the head data on a single GOP and consists of a pack header 110 of 14 bytes, a system header 111 of 24 bytes, a PCI packet 116 of 986 bytes or less, and a DSI packet 117 of 1024 bytes or less. Thus, the pack 86 includes the header 110 which identifies the pack and the packets 116 and 117 where the data streams are recorded. The packets 116 and 117 consist of at least the packet headers 112 and 114 and the packet data 113 and 115. In such a constitution, various types of data can be treated. |
