PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quantitatively and optimally perform the temperature guarantee of an inverter part, according to the temperature of the inverter part, without affecting the output of the inverter part, in a pulse width modulation type of inverter device. SOLUTION: This inverter device has a converter part 1 which converts an AC input into a DC, a smoothing capacitor 3 which is connected to the output side of the converter part 1, an inverter part 7 which has a semiconductor switching element 5 and inverts a DC outputted by the converter part 1 into an AC of variable voltage and variable frequency, and a PWM making circuit 9 which outputs a switching command signal for pulse width modulation to the inverter part by the comparison between a command signal and a carrier wave signal. In this case, a thermistor 17 is provided which detects the temperature of the inverter part 7 and a carrier wave frequency variable setter 15 which sets the frequency of the carrier wave signal variable, according to the temperature detected by the thermistor 17. |
