PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a path selection method by which all of pluralities of quality of service QoS conditions are satisfied at a low cost when a costwise error range is designated in advance and a path whose cost is within the error range is selected as an optimum path. SOLUTION: Pluralities of QoS conditions to be satisfied are set in the step S1. An approximate errorεis entered in the step S2. A costwise range to retrieve an optimum path is tentatively set in the step S3. An optimum solution cost approximation procedure is executed in the step S4. Whether or not the cost range is sufficiently reduced is discriminated in the step S5, and when the narrowered cost range is still too wide, the procedure returns to the step S4 and the optimum solution cost approximation procedure is executed repetitively. When the cost range is sufficiently narrowered, an optimum solution cost approximation procedure is executed in the step S6.
