PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic mail machine translating system with which electronic mail to be translated is automatically transmitted to a translation server device and machine translation is performed. SOLUTION: A system 100 is composed of terminal equipment 110 provided with a receiver 111 and a transmitter 114, and a translation server device 120 equipped with a receiver 121 for receiving source sentence mail including a source sentence part described in a 1st language, translation engine 123 for preparing translated mail including a translated sentence part translating the source sentence part into a 2nd language, and transmitter 125 for returning the translated mail to the transmission source terminal equipment of the source sentence mail. The terminal equipment 110 transmits the source sentence mail to the translation server device while keeping the contents of its header information, and the translation server device 120 returns the translated mail to the terminal equipment of the transmission source while keeping the contents of its header information. As a result, the contents of the header information in the source sentence mail are kept in the translated sentence mail as well and a user can easily judge the relation of source sentence mail and translated mail from a lot of electronic mail lists. |
