PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable telephone set in which an incoming call tone is easily silenced and the user can recognize the arrival of an incoming call even after that. SOLUTION: When the user grips a grip of a case at the arrival of an incoming call and touches a touch sensor 9, a control circuit 10 silences an incoming call tone when a speaker 6 sounds the incoming call tone, and when the case is not vibrated by driving a vibrator 8, the strength of vibration is weakened.
