<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the memory capacity to store image data, data transfer time, and a processing signal that expands data by seeking approximate colors of one block consisting of plural pixels that constitute a color image and having a table which makes the approximate colors a table on each compressing and expanding device. SOLUTION: Approximate colors of one block that consists of plural pixels which constitute a color image is sought, each compressing and expanding device has a table which makes the approximate colors a table, and with this, the approximate colors that are sought are converted into indexes of the table. For instance, a color printer 202 comprises a controller 203 and a color printer 204. The controller 203 consists of a receiving buffer 209 which receives compressed data that is transferred from a host device 201, a color table 210, a coding processing block 211 which expands the compressed data, a print control block 212 which performs print control of the printer 204.</p> |
