PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration actuator which has reduced affects with respect to an electromechanical converting element, due to the soldering by placing a power feeding terminal elastically in contact with an electrode of the electromechanical converting element. SOLUTION: When a piezoelectric element 12 formed of a rectangular thin plate bonded to the surface of an elastic body 11 is activated by applying a drive voltage to the electrodes 12a to 12d therof, longitudinal vibration in a direction parallel to the contact surface of a relative movement member 21 and a flexure vibration in the direction crossing vibrating direction of longitudinal vibration are generated on an elastic body 11 and drive force extracting members 13a, 13b conduct elliptical movement due to the harmonic mode of these vibrations so that a relative movement member 21 makes linear movement. Power-feeding terminals 51a to 51d for supplying a drive voltage to the electrode 12a to 12d are pushed to the electrodes 12a to 12d with a predetermined contact pressure using springs 52a to 52d. |
