BAND COMMON USE ACCESS METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance a transfer efficiency when valid information is sent by holding an incoming common use channel for a minimum time to inform the absence of valid information to a master set when the master set has no valid information to be sent to a slave set and holding the incoming common use channel for a prescribed time to transmit the valid information when the master set has the valid information to be sent to the slave set. SOLUTION: This method is used to communicate information between a subscriber line terminal station equipment 1 and optical network units ONUs 2-1-32 connecting to lines of 32 divisions from a line from the equipment 1. In this case, the 32 sets of the ONUs receive information sent from the subscriber line terminal station equipment 1 via a broadcast type outgoing common use channel and send information alternately to the subscriber line terminal station equipment 1 via the incoming common use channel 8 assigned timewise to each ONU according to the instruction of the subscriber line terminal station equipment 1.
