PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cable reel provided with sound absorbing material which can be formed at low cost, and in which both slide sound and vibration sound can be reduced. SOLUTION: In a cable reel, a circular cable housing chamber is formed of a fixed body 11, and a movable body assembled to be rotatable to the fixed body 11, a flat cable is spirally housed in the cable housing chamber, and both ends of it in the winding direction are introduced out of the fixed body 11 and the movable body. In this case, sound absorbing material 20 comprising foam material is disposed to be diametrically extended in at least three positions at a constant interval in the circumferential direction at least on one slide surface of the cable housing chamber facing both ends of the flat cable in a width direction in a self weigh direction of the cable, so the flat cable slides along the surface of the sound absorbing material 20.
