A refrigerator control device comprising: a housing (2) defining an air flow passage between a freezer compartment and a refrigerator compartment, the passage having an inlet (20) in fluid communication with the freezer compartment, an outlet (22) in fluid communication with the refrigerator compartment, and an air duct connecting the inlet (20) and the outlet (22), the air duct adapted to permit a flow of air from the inlet (20) to the outlet (22) through the air duct; a doorway in the passage, formed by an opening in the housing (2); a door (4) pivotally mounted on the housing (2), located across the doorway and oriented such that progressively opening the door progressively decreases an obstruction to air flow in both the air flow passage and the doorway; an actuating element (8) acting against the door (4) in a manner that causes the door (4) to open. |
