PURPOSE: To provide a refill of a ballpoint pen using oil based ink having low viscosity or water based ink having shear-thinning property having low viscosity in a knock type writing instrument. CONSTITUTION: A refill 20 of a ballpoint pen has a tip 22 at the end and an ink container at the rear in a knock type writing instrument. Oil based ink having low viscosity or water based ink having so-called shear-thinning property in which ink 28 has statically high viscosity and the viscosity lowered by the rotation of an end ball 22a at the time of writing to be fed is filled in the container, and greaselike follower 29 which is moved by following up the consumption of the ink 28 is provided at the rear end of the ink 28. An elastic member for absorbing impact is provided at the rear end of the refill to be collided with the knock part to alleviate the impact in the case of knock impact, etc., thereby preventing the reverse flow of the ink and the skipping of writing. |
