PURPOSE:To simplify structure, to reduce the generation of noise, and to facilitate maintenance, in a device to damp vibration of a car by using an active damper. CONSTITUTION:The primary side 21 of a linear motor is fixed to an underfloor mounting plate 12 fixed to the lower part of a car 6. The secondary side 22 of the linear motor is arranged facing the primary side thereof and supporting to a car frame 3 by means of a support body 23. When lateral vibration of the car 6 is detected by a vibration sensor 15 attached to the lower part of the car 6, a control signal is outputted to the primary side of the linear motor by a controller 16. This constitution causes the generation of a thrust between the primary side and the secondary side 22 and the generation of a damping force between the car frame 3 and the car 6. |
