PURPOSE:To obtain the title composition having a great latent heat, preventing corrosive properties of metal for a long period of time while maintaining heat accumulating characteristics by blending an aqueous solution of a nitrate with an alkali metallic salt of phosphoric acid and a nitrite. CONSTITUTION:(A) An aqueous solution of a nitrate such as sodium nitrate or potassium nitrate is blended with (B) preferably 0.05-3wt.% (especially 0.1-2wt.%) alkali metallic salt of phosphoric acid such as potassium tertiary (or secondary or primary) phosphate and (C) preferably 0.05-3wt.% (especially 0.1-2wt.%) nitrite such as sodium nitrite or potassium nitrite to give the objective composition. In a system requiring a cold heat source approximately at -5 deg.C, 4-10wt.% sodium nitrate and 1-10wt.% potassium nitrate are preferable as the component A. |
