PURPOSE:To shorten the time required for the loading of data by separating 'KARAOKE' (recorded instrumental accompaniment) information to music information and lyric information, and using the data in a built-in pattern ROM or color table when the lyric information is processed. CONSTITUTION:A character controller 7 reads out a character pattern and a background color corresponding to the lyric information stored in a video memory 8 from the pattern ROM 5 and the color table 6 by an execution signal from a sequencer 4, and a character generator 9 converts the contact of the data in the pattern ROM 5 to a dot matrix, and sets it at a state displaybly on a display 11. The lyric can be displayed on the display 11 by processing the content by a video controller 10, and also, the color of the lyric can be changed sequentially corresponding to the progression of the reproduction of music, or the background can be changed appropriately. |
