PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform the protection of electric corrosion in the maritime structure and to concurrently prevent the titanium coating material from being embrittled, in a titanium-coated maritime structure. SOLUTION: The equipment for this method is provided with: an embrittlement-preventive cathode 3 which is placed below the titanium-coated section 2 of a maritime steel structure 1 whose parts located at above and below the sea surface are coated with titanium, and connected to a control device 6 in order to control the output of an external power source device 7; a reference electrode 4 which is placed undersea in the vicinity of the titanium-coated section 2 and used for measuring the potential of the titanium-coated section 2; and a sacrificial anode 9 which is placed in the objective area to be subjected to electric corrosion protection, of the structure 1 other than the titanium-coated section 2 and used for sacrificial-anodic corrosion protection of the structure 1. The method using the equipment comprises: performing feedback of the potential of the titanium-coated section 2, that is measured with the reference electrode 4, to the control device 6 to control the output of the external power source device 7 so that the output current is adjusted to such a value as to cause no embrittlement of the titanium coating material of the titanium-coated section 2; and performing appropriate electric corrosion protection of the objective area to be subjected to electric corrosion protection, of the structure 1 other than the titanium-coated section 2. |
