<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent slipping and catching of the tiptoe of a pedestrian by inserting and fixing the stage end of a tread in the rear face of the protection member for the synthetic resin-made tread composed of an upper piece part providing a slip stop groove and a right angled triangular three-picture-like lower piece part. SOLUTION: A front piece part 3 is hung from the front edge of a plate-like upper piece part 2 providing a slip stop groove on the surface side, a side substantially right angled triangular three-picture lower piece part 4 is integrated on the lower end of the front piece part 3, and a protection member for a staircase tread 1 is molded by synthetic resin material. The rear face of the upper piece part 2 and a substantially parallel opposite face 4b are provided to be intersected at right angles to the contact face 4c of a kick plate 9, and in addition an inclination face 4a connecting the lower end of the front piece part 3 and the lower end of the contact face 4c is provided. A pressure sensitive adhesive double coated tape is stuck on the rear face of the front piece part 3 and the contact face 4c, and the stage end 8a of the tread 8 is inserted between the rear face of the upper piece part 2 and the opposite face 4b to surely be fixed. The slip stop groove prevents slipping of a pedestrian, and a tiptoe is prevented from being caught on the stage end 8.</p> |
