DYEING AND FINISHING OF MODIFIED POLYESTER FIBER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a product good in color fastness even by reductive washing of a dyed fiber at low temperatures with good operating efficiency by dyeing a modified PET fiber prepared by copolymerizing an ethylene terephthalate unit with an aliphatic dicarboxylic acid component and/or an aliphatic diol component under specific conditions. SOLUTION: A modified polyester fiber prepared by copolymerizing an ethylene terephthalate unit as a main recurring unit with an aliphatic dicarboxylic acid component and/or an aliphatic diol component having <=300 molecular weight and having <=65 deg.C glass transition temperature (Tg ) is dyed at 90-160 deg.C temperature. Thereby, a product capable of preventing the color fastness from deteriorating even by the reductive washing in an alkaline bath at <=65 deg.C temperature.
