PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably produce a silicon steel sheet, in which a fine precipitated matter to impede grain growth is extremely rendered harmless, of low iron loss and low magnetic anisotropy by subjecting a continuous cast slab of a specified composition to descaling, cold rolling and annealing after rough rolling and finish rolling of a specified condition. SOLUTION: A steel has a composition consisting of, by weight, 0-0.005% C, 0-0.2% P, 0-0.005% N, >=0.1-<1.5% Si, 0.2-0.5% Mn, 0-0.02% S, 0-0.004% or 0.1-0.4% sol.Al and the balance substantially Fe. A continuous cast slab of this composition is heated to 950-1,150 deg.C and is subjected to rough rolling at a cumulative draft of >=75%. Successively, after this rough rolled material is heated on-line for temp. rise to a temp. 20 deg.C higher than a rough rolling completion temp. and a slab heating temp. or lower, the material is subjected to finish rolling and then descaling, cold rolling and annealing. |
