[Also in Group XXI] In a mineral-mining apparatus in which the guiding of a winning machine, e.g. a plough 11, along a side frame 2 of a conveyer 1 is assisted by blades 13 secured either to the machine or to the haulage means 14 therefor adjacent the machine and projecting beneath the conveyer 1 for a short distance, the adjacent frame 2 or both side frames 2, 3 of the conveyer are mounted on inset supports 7, 7<SP>1</SP> so that the blades 13 can enter the adjacent recess 9 thus formed beneath the conveyer. The inset support is provided by bars, preferably of circular cross-section, extending continuously or in endwise spaced relation longitudinally of the side frame to which the bars are secured.
