PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the excavating performance and durability of a cutter disc, prevent collapse of a facing, make a mud water shield applicable, reduce the elongation/contraction of a movable cutter spoke, and simplify the structure of a shield machine. SOLUTION: For the underground connection between a first shield machine 1A of an underground connection type different diameter shield machine and a second shield machine 1B thereof, a fitted ring 5 and a push-out jack 30 therefor are provided, and an annular slit 51 is formed to introduce the ring 5 into a cutter disc of the second shield machine 1B. The cutter disc is divided into an inner cutter disc 52 and an outer cutter disc 53 so as to be rotation driven independently, respectively. At the time of underground connection, the ring 5 is pushed out to pass through the slit 51 so as to be pressed against a pressure receiving ring 58 and sealed thereat. |
