PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a car navigation system, wherein a bypass route is quickly set and displayed relating to inter-car communication. SOLUTION: A reception means P7 for receiving an information signal transmitted from other cars P8 and P11, a guiding route congestion detecting means P9 for detecting whether a congestion exists on a guiding route based on the information signal received from the other car P8 on the route guiding road, a bypass route detecting means P10 for detecting a bypass route which detours a congestion point based on a road map stored in a storage means P3, when the presence of congestion on the guiding route is detected, a bypass route congestion detecting means P12 for detecting whether a congestion is presents on the bypass route based on the information signal received from the other car P11 on the bypass route, are provided. A control means P6 makes a display means P5 for displaying the bypass route, when no congestion is detected on the bypass route. |
