PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an display element capable of realizing various colors from blue to green, especially blue color with low driving voltage and short response time by using a luminescent polymer containing an aromatic amine repeating unit having conjugated double bond as a coupling material. SOLUTION: This luminescent polymer is a compound containing an aromatic amine repeating unit and preferably expressed by the formula R is H, a (substituted) 1-24C aliphatic hydrocarbon or a (substituted) 6-30C aromatic hydrocarbon; (n) is an integer of 3-260} and having 500-50,000 weight-average molecular weight.
