PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operating efficiency by improving coefficient of performance of a compressor for multiple stage-compressing refrigerant by using a plurality of compressing parts. SOLUTION: In a compressor C, an electric motor 2 and a compressing element 3 to be driven by the electric motor 2 are provided on a single closed container 1, and the compressing element 3 is constituted of a low-stage side compressing part 52 and a high stage side compressing part 51, and refrigerant is sequentially compressed in multiple stages. The ratio D2/D1 of the excluded volume D1 of the low stage side compressing part 52 and the excluded volume D2 of the high stage side compressing part 51 is set in the range of 0.35±0.1.
