PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition excellent in moldability and physical properties by blending a specific amount of an inorganic filler comprising a group II or III metal compound and an organic acid (anhydride) from which a metal complex can be formed in elevated temp, molding with a thermoplastic polymer. SOLUTION: Fifty to two handreds pts.wt. of an inorganic filler and 0,1-30 pts.wt. of an organic acid (anhydride) are blended with 100 pts.wt. of a thermoplastic polymer. Both virgin polymers and recovered waste polymers can be used as the thermoplastic polymer. Among thermoplastic polymers, it is effective especially for olefin-based resins. Hydroxides, oxides, carbonates, silicates and complexes thereof are preferred as the inorganic filler. Especially compounds having hydrated water such as hydroxides and compounds having water of crystallization are suitable. Polycarboxylic acids (anhydride) andα,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid anhydrides are suitable as the organic acid (anhydride).
