PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow grasping of a map with ease by displaying a wide area map and an enlarged map at the same time on a display screen, and scrolling a detailed map on a cursor screen in synchronism with the cursor movement on the wide area map. SOLUTION: A display screen WSR is divided into a main screen 1 and a cursor screen 2, a wide area map MP1 is displayed on request for 2-screen map display, while a cursor CSR indicating a specified area on the wide area map is displayed on the main screen, a detailed map MP2 of the area is indicated by the cursor displayed on the cursor screen 2, the cursor CSR is moved on the wide area map of the main screen 1 according to the running of a car, the detailed map MP2 is scrolled on the cursor screen 2 according to the movement of the cursor. When the cursor reaches a specified position on the main screen, an adjoining wide area map is displayed on the main screen 1 with the cursor CSR moved to a set position (center) of the main screen. |
