PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter for a plasma display panel which is transparent in a visible light region, is capable of shielding electromagnetic waves and heat rays released from the plasma display panel and is capable of efficiently reflecting near IR rays. SOLUTION: An electromagnetic wave and heat ray cutting film 1 is constituted by providing the surface of a transparent film base material 10 with a metallic thin-film layer 11 which has visible light transmittance of >=50% and cuts the electromagnetic wave and heat rays and inorg. or org. transparent coating layers 12A, 12B as the upper layer and/or lower layer thereof. In addition, a solidified layer 2 of high-polymer liquid crystals reflecting the near IR rays is included together with the film 1, by which the filter Xi for the plasma display panel is constituted. |
