FLEXIBLE DOCTOR BLADE PROVIDED WITH GRINDABLE SHIM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve performance by reducing a skid mark especially from a pre-nip packing. SOLUTION: This flexible doctor blade has a metallic bar 13 whose bottom part is attached to the elastic layer of porous foam 7 by a double coated tape 15. The bottom part of the foam layer is attached to a shim 1 by a double coated tape 8, and the shim 1 is rigid in the moving direction of a roller 9 brought into contact with the shim 1. The shim 1 has a polyester main body 3 and a bottom part layer 5 including a grindable grid and a conductive carbon black. Finally, the end part of the doctor blade is immersed in conductive paste, and the paste is hardened in conductive coating 17 applied on the conductive layer of the shim 1 and the metallic bar.
