PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a grease composition excellent in low frictional properties, abrasion resistance and durability by including a molybdenum amine compound, an antioxidant, a zinc dithiophosphate or a zinc dithiocarbamate therein. SOLUTION: This grease composition contains (A) a molybdenum amine compound, (B) an antioxidant and (C) a zinc dithiophosphate represented by formula I [R<3> and R<4> are each a hydrocarbon; (a) is 0-(1/3)] or a zinc dithiocarbamate represented by formula II (R<5> and R<6> are each a hydrocarbon) in a base grease composed of a base oil and a thickener. The component A is obtained by reacting a hexavalent molybdenum compound with a primary or a secondary amine represented by the formula R<1> -NH-R<2> (R<1> and R<2> are each H and/or a hydrocarbon). The component B is a phenolic antioxidant having a substituent group represented by formula III [R<7> is a hydrocarbon; (m) is 1-4] or an aromatic amine-based antioxidant. The composition is useful for a bearing, a gear, a universal joint, a torque limiter, a constant velocity joint for automobiles or the like, a ball joint, a wheel bearing, a constant velocity gear and a speed change gear or the like. |
