PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain a stable image density, regardlessly of a summed-up copy total by changing an elimination characteristic, based on the detected temp. in the vicinity, of an image carrier and a mode set by a setting means thereby driving partial eliminating means. SOLUTION: A photoreceptor drum 38 is electrified to a fixed surface potential by an electrifier 40 before the drum 38 is exposed with an original image. When trimming or masking is inputted from a control panel 90, the electric charge of the drum 38 is eliminated except an image forming possible region by a partial eliminating LED 42 whose applied voltage is controlled. Then, an electrostatic latent image corresponding to the image information of an original provided from sixth a mirror is formed and hold. Moreover, a drum atmospheric temp. around the drum 38 is inputted to a CPU 70 by a drum thermistor 86. Thus, control is executed according to a table stored in a ROM 72a or a NVM 87. Simultaneously, the control is repeated on the basis of the summing up of the number of image forming times stored in the NVM 87. |
