PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device provided with a sheet transferring device capable of rapidly and surely performing the transportation of a sheet and the image formation even with regard to the sheet of monolithic size. SOLUTION: A sensor 48 detects the length of a sheet with respect to the whole region of the sheet in the direction vertical to the transporting direction. A control device switches an image reading mode in accordance with the detected result by this sensor 48 (maximum value of length of the sheet). The image reading is performed in a fixed reading mode when the maximum value Hmax exceeds a specified value Hm, while, performed in a flow reading mode when the maximum value Hmax is below the specified value Hm. |
