PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject fiber, having sufficient color developing properties compared with a natural fiber, and sufficiently used for a clothing use by allowing a fiber-formable polyester to include a specific copolyester to improve color-developing properties of a polyester fiber. SOLUTION: The subject fiber is obtained by allowing a fiber-formable polyester to include 0.1-25 wt.% copolyester having 50-130 deg.C glass transition temperature (Tg), substantially not crystallized, and satisfying the following conditions: (1) containing 40-90 mol.% glycol component without ethylene glycol, trimethylene glycol, tetramethylene glycol and a derivative thereof (e.g. ethylene oxide-addition product of bisphenol A) as a constituent of the copolyester; (2) having an alkali degradation rate slower than that of the fiber-formable polyester. |
