PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image sharp enough and hard enough on the part to be hardened even by heating at comparatively low temperature by incorporating a specified bisphenol compound in a hardenable layer or a photosensitive layer. SOLUTION: This photosensitive material is provided with a hardenable layer 2 containing an ethylenically unsaturated polymerizable compound or an ethylenically unsaturated cross-linkable polymer and a photosensitive layer containing a silver halide and an overcoat layer containing a polyvinyl alcohol having a saponification degree of >=30%, successively laminated on a support. The hardenable layer or the photosensitive layer contains a reducing agent, and further the bisphenol compound represented by the formula in which L<1> is a -S-, -O-, -CO-, or -SO- group or a divalent bonding aliphatic or aromatic group; R<1> is an H atom or an alkyl or aromatic group; and each of A<1> and B<2> is, independently, a benzene ring optionally substituted by a 1-4C substituent. |
