PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To instruct countermeasures rapidly and accurately by collecting defect information and judging a type, performing the statistical processing of an object to be inspected, paint information, and the type and number of defects, and estimating a defect generation source from the statistical processing result and experimental defect specific information. SOLUTION: A defect on a surface to be inspected is detected from a light reception image of a CCD camera 3 by an inspection processing means 4, and the information is collected by a defect information collection means 6. The defect being collected by a defect type judgment means 7 is judged to either flicking, paint blobbing, dust blobbing, or mark and a car type and paint information of a surface to be inspected are inputted by an information-inputting means 8. A defect statistical processing means 9 performs the statistical processing of the number of defects for each defect type, the type of a paint color and the number of defects for each defect type being present for each site of the surface to be inspected based on the input information and the defect type information. A defect generation source is estimated from the statistical processing information and experimental defect specification information on painting by a generation source estimation means 10 and is displayed and announced by a display/instruction means 11, thus rapidly and accurately instruction countermeasures when inconveniences occur. |
