PRODUCTION OF WATERPROOF FINISHED FABRIC

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a waterproof finished fabric, having a soft tough feeling and excellent in low dew condensation properties and high moisture-permeability and suitable for sportswear or the like by carrying out the fretting and cutting processing of a water repellent finished surface of a water repellent fabric and then coating the resultant fretted and cut surface with a waterproof resin. SOLUTION: This waterproof finished fabric is obtained by carrying out the fretting and cutting processing of a water repellent finished surface of a water repellent fabric prepared by previously performing the water repellent finishing with a finishing agent such as a fluorine-based water repellent or a silicon-based water repellent and then coating the resultant fretted and cut surface with a waterproof resin such as a polyurethane-based resin or a porous resin having moisture permeability. The waterproof finished fabric preferably has >=200 g/cm<2> peel strength between the waterproof resin layer and the fabric layer. The fretted and cut single filament preferably has a rough surface so as to form voids between the single filament and the resin layer.
