PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize focusing while correcting error in assembly existing in every camera by setting the coefficients of at least two operational expressions by using range-finding data and distance data calculated by an arithmetic means based on the range-finding data. SOLUTION: In an adjusting stage, the camera is set in an adjusting mode so as to receive range-finding input. The range-finding data Y1 corresponding to the distance data X1 and the range-finding data Y2 corresponding to the distance data X2 are stored by arranging a specified chart at the distance of 4 m and performing range-finding and arranging the chart at the distance of 0.8 m and performing the range-finding, respectively. Then, a microcomputer arithmetically calculatesαandβby the expressions K=(Y2 -Y1 )/(X2 -X1 ) and (β=Y1 by using X1 , X2 , Y1 and Y2 . Two operational expressions are stored withαandβas the coefficients. Namely, they are the operation expressions for an ordinary range-finding area and an area where the range-finding is unstable due to a long distance. Therefore, the microcomputer performs the focusing of a photographing lens based on the calculated distance data in a photographing mode. |
