PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To move a focus lens corresponding to manual operation without causing in compatibility by obtaining deviation between the position of the focus lens designated by manual focusing and a present position and driving the focus lens so that the deviation may be gradually decreased when the manual focusing is performed again. SOLUTION: A CPU 32 obtains a target position to which the focus lens 12 is moved based on the operation of a focus ring 42 and a focal point evaluated value obtained from an image signal, detects the position of the lens 12 by a potentiometer 40, and successively outputs a voltage signal in accordance with a difference between the position of the focus lens and the focus target position as a focus control signal to a motor driving circuit 34 through a D/A converter 33. In the case of automatically correcting focusing by manual operation by a cameraman, the CPU 32 obtains the focus target position based on the focal point evaluated value obtained from the image signal and moves the lens 12 to the focus target position. |
