PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the function capable of simply/easily warning a user of the exhausting of toner by calculating the total counter value corresponding to the next exhausting period of the toner based on the total counter value of image forming media on which toner image is transferred, thereby warning the user of the next exhausting period of the toner. SOLUTION: A main CPU 32 stores the count value of a counter 108 when a toner cartridge 103 is empty of the toner, as the total count value of the sheets of paper (image-formed mediums) on which copying is executed up to then, in a RAM 33. Then, the total counter value corresponding to the next exhausting period of the toner is calculated on the basis of the total counter value and the user is warned of the next exhausting period of the toner, based on the total counter value corresponding to the next exhausting period of the toner by the result of the calculation. In such a case, a toner empty display part in a pictograph display part flickers and a message display part is displayed by flickering. |
