The knife has between the blade (11) and handle (12) a bearing plate (15) which is set on the back of the blade near the transition point (13) to the handle and is wider across the longitudinal extension of the blade than the width of the back of the blade. The length of the bearing plate equals the longitudinal extension of the pressure face of a finger tip.
