The valve arrangement comprises a valve housing (2) with a flow channel (3) located between an inlet (4) and an outlet (5) opening, a channel closure unit with a valve seat (8), and a conical valve section (10). Valve section and seat metallic sealing surfaces (32,33) are in contact when the valve is closed. A soft sealing member (34) is located between the valve seat and the valve section, which works together with the metallic sealing surfaces. A further sealing element (35) is located on the valve seat and consists of a ring plate made of a material with lower elasticity. The latter is attached to the outer valve seat edge and supported on the inner edge by an elastic element (37). The elastic element is pref. made of PTFE.
