The invention concerns agglomerated zeolite adsorbents based on faujasite with Si/Al ratio such that 1 </= Si/Al </= 1.15 exchanged at least at 70 % in barium and optionally with potassium and a binder, preferably capable of zeolitization. Said adsorbents are obtained by agglomerating zeolite powder with a binder followed by the zeolite ion exchange by barium ions and activating the resulting exchanged adsorbents. Said adsorbents are particularly adapted for adsorbing paraxylene contained in aromatic C8 hydrocarbon cuts in liquid phase in simulated fluid bed processes. |
