The magnetic tag (10) is of rectangular shape and has a front (11) and a back part (12) which are movable joined in the center (13). Several oblong slots (16) cut into the extension of the front part (11) work as hinges (23) when the device (10) is folded over to be fixed to a garment or any other item. A small sheet of paper (26a) containing information can be inserted at the front (11a). The tag (10) is kept in position with a permanently magnetic system (20).
