Moving image decoding system

The decoding system uses a bit stream analyzer (37) receiving a coded bit stream obtained by coding a moving image. A series of successive images is used, with extraction of the coded data. Data coding mode information indicates full frame or half frame movement compensation and a full frame or half frame movement vector, used for reconstruction of the moving image.
